Blend Story

Colombia Terror: A Showcase of Colombia

Colombia Whole Bean is a single-origin coffee that highlights the incredible terroir of Medellín. Grown at altitudes of 1300 to 1500 meters, this coffee is renowned for its rich flavor profile, medium body, and mild acidity. The beans offer bright, sweet berry notes alongside deep cacao tones, creating a beautifully complex cup. To preserve this intricate balance, the coffee is roasted to a medium profile, teasing out the richness of dried orange while maintaining its brightness and nuance. Whether enjoyed hot or cold, this coffee captivates with its juicy, vibrant character. Crafted with care by smallholder farmers using advanced solar drying techniques, Colombia Whole Bean reflects a dedication to quality and sustainability. The solar drying method not only protects the coffee from rain but also enhances its natural flavor. We’re equally committed to reducing our environmental impact, with shipping typically within 3 to 5 business days and investments in local nonprofits to offset shipping emissions, helping to reduce greenhouse gases.

Behind Craft Espresso

Our Custom Process

Colombia Espresso’s distinct flavor is shaped by its high-altitude cultivation, solar drying, and extended, high-temperature roasting process. Grown at 1300-1500 meters, the beans ripen slowly, allowing sugars and organic acids to accumulate, resulting in a complex flavor profile with bright berry notes and mild acidity. Solar drying gently removes moisture while preserving the beans' sugars and acids, ensuring that their natural sweetness and brightness remain intact. This careful drying process also prevents unwanted fermentation, maintaining the juicy and nuanced flavors that define Colombia Espresso. The beans are roasted at high temperatures for an extended time, which enhances the coffee’s rich and bold character. During roasting, the Maillard reaction and caramelization processes develop deep chocolate and caramel-like flavors, while also facilitating the extraction of oils that give espresso its velvety texture. Despite the long roast, careful control of heat exposure ensures that the coffee retains its bright citrus and berry notes, resulting in a smooth, concentrated espresso with balanced acidity and sweetness.
